Yoga for Hockey Players

Today’s hockey players are far too often tight throughout their core and generally overstimulated. This leads to inefficient skating, increased risk of injury, and hurried decision making that lacks situational awareness, confidence, and poise.

Having partnered with Darcy Lyle, our Yoga for Hockey Players program is specifically designed to improve flexibility and balance, build core stability, strengthen physical and mental resilience, and work on breathwork to develop mindfulness and poise.

Players will leave our Yoga for Hockey Players sessions feeling stretched, tired, calm, and prepared to recover with a good night of sleep.

Many NHL players and teams incorporate yoga into their off-ice workouts and are taking advantage of its many benefits.

– Increase the length and explosiveness of your stride

– Prevent injury by increasing flexibility and overall mobility

– Increase strength, balance, and mindfulness

– Improve breathwork to develop awareness and resilience during periods of stress

Darcy Lyle is has been teaching yoga for 17 years. Her teaching style is athletic and strong, but also focuses on time, precision, flexibility, meditation, and slow cleansing breaths. Having taken Darcy’s classes for years now, we know our players will greatly enjoy and benefit from her instruction.
