2013 Quest Hockey Spring Shootout
The inaugural Quest Hockey Spring Shootout youth ice hockey tournament will be held May 17 – 19, 2013 in Pittsburgh, PA at Bethel Park Bladerunners and the Iceoplex at Southpointe. The youth ice hockey tournament is meant for squirt, peewee and bantam youth hockey players participating on spring hockey development teams/programs.
Hockey is meant to be fun, fast and highly skilled. With that in mind, the 2013 Spring Shootout was designed with highly skilled, high-paced hockey as the desired outcome. This is a great opportunity for youth hockey players participating in spring development programs to implement the newly learned hockey skills and tactics they’ve developed in a meaningful competitive game setting.

Squirt Division: Pittsburgh Outlaws (defeated Quest Hockey 3-0)
PeeWee Division: Quest Hockey (defeated Alain Lemieux Hockey Academy 4-0)
Bantam Division: Pittsburgh Selects (defeated Blades of Glory 7-0)

Skill level: AA/A Major
4 teams per age division
Round robin format | 4 games guaranteed
1st & 2nd advance to Championship game | 3rd & 4th play in Consolation game
12 – 12 – 15 min periods | 3 minute warm up | Stoppage time
Regulation Tie: 5 min running clock overtime | 5 round shootout
2 pts for win | 1 pt for OTL or SOL | O pts for regulation loss
Tiebreakers: Head to head | Goal differential | Goals against | Lower PIMs
USA Hockey penalties | Bantam group will be checking
