It’s that time of year again! The time when we celebrate those Minnesota High School hockey players that have put the time and effort into growing the most luscious and aw-inspiring of hockey hair.  Hockey hair, otherwise referred to as flow or salad, is a trademark of hockey players.  Often billowing out from our buckets (helmets and/or hats), there’s nothing quite like the feeling of your salad gently flowing through the wind as you glide on the ice.

Many of us learned the art of hockey hair from the greats we grew up idolizing.  Guy Lafleur, Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, Paul Coffey, Mike Modano, Joe Sakic, Jaromir Jagr, Mario Lemieux & Wayne Gretzky all, at one time in their careers, had beautiful flowing hockey hair to accompany their amazing talent.   A new generation of NHL stars have embraced hockey flow and its wondrous powers – Michael Handzus, Scott Hartnell, Peter Mueller, George Parros, Kris Letang, Ryan Smyth, Steven Stamkos & Patrick Kane.
